1. Who we are

The service is operated by MultiConsult OÜ, a private limited company registered in Estonia, registry code 10722800, Metsa tn 38, 90505 Haapsalu, Estonia, email hello@weatherfinder.app.

By using the service you accept these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use it. How we handle personal data is described separately in our Privacy Policy.

2. What the service is

WeatherFinder helps you find places with better weather than where you are. SunFinder compares forecasts for your starting point with destinations within the travel time you choose, estimates travel times and suggests whether a trip is worth it. The service is free to use and requires no account.

3. Forecasts are estimates, not promises

Weather forecasts are predictions. They become less reliable further ahead, and local conditions (fog, showers, sea breezes, mountain weather) can differ from what any model shows. Our verdicts, scores and summaries are automated interpretations of third-party forecast data and may be wrong, out of date or incomplete. Some summaries are generated with the help of artificial intelligence.

Travel times are estimates based on road and route data and typical speeds. They do not account for traffic, road works, border checks, ferry timetables, strikes or weather disruption.

Do not rely on the service for safety decisions. Before travelling, especially to mountains, the sea or remote areas, check official weather warnings from national weather services, road and ferry operators, and local authorities.

You remain responsible for your own travel decisions, bookings and safety.

4. Partner links and bookings

Some links lead to third-party booking and comparison sites for flights, hotels, ferries, car hire and activities. If you book through such a link, we may receive a commission from the partner at no extra cost to you. Commissions do not affect how destinations are ranked: rankings are based on weather, distance and travel time.

We are not a party to any contract you make with a partner. Prices, availability, cancellation terms and customer service are the partner’s responsibility and governed by its terms. Prices shown by partners may change until you complete a booking.

Links to other websites are provided for convenience. We do not control those sites and are not responsible for their content.

5. Acceptable use

You may use the service for personal, non-commercial purposes. You agree not to:

• scrape, harvest or copy results or data in bulk, or query the service with bots or scripts;
• access or use our API other than through the website, or bypass fair-use limits or security measures;
• interfere with the operation of the service, overload it or attempt to gain unauthorised access;
• use the service for anything unlawful, or to submit content that infringes the rights of others;
• present our content or results as your own, or reuse them commercially, without our written permission.

We may limit or block access where these rules are broken or the service is being abused.

6. Intellectual property and data sources

The website, its design, texts, guides, software and the names WeatherFinder and SunFinder belong to MultiConsult OÜ or its licensors and are protected by copyright and other laws. You may share links and short quotations with attribution. Other use requires our permission.

The service uses third-party data, which remains subject to its own licences:

• Map data © OpenStreetMap contributors, available under the Open Database Licence (ODbL).
• Weather data by Open-Meteo.com, licensed under CC BY 4.0.
• Weather data by WeatherAPI.com.
• Routing by openrouteservice (HeiGIT), based on OpenStreetMap data.

7. Availability and changes

We aim to keep the service available, but we do not guarantee that it will be uninterrupted or error-free. We may change, suspend or discontinue features, destinations or the whole service at any time, for example because a data provider changes its terms.

8. Liability

The service is provided free of charge and “as is”. To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for loss or damage arising from the use of, or inability to use, the service, from reliance on forecasts, verdicts or travel times, or from contracts with partners — for example costs of a trip that turned out rainy, missed connections or non-refundable bookings.

Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited under applicable law, including liability for damage caused intentionally or through gross negligence, or for death or personal injury. If you are a consumer, you keep all rights that mandatory consumer protection law gives you.

9. Applicable law and disputes

These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Estonia. If you are a consumer living in another EU country, you also keep the protection of the mandatory rules of that country.

Please contact us first, and we will try to resolve any issue. Consumers in Estonia may also turn to the Consumer Disputes Committee at the Consumer Protection and Technical Regulatory Authority (ttja.ee). Disputes are settled in the competent Estonian court; consumers may also bring proceedings in the courts of their country of residence.

10. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms when the service or the law changes. The date at the top shows the current version. Continuing to use the service after a change means you accept the updated terms.
